In a life-threatening emergency such as sudden severe chest pain, severe breathlessness, loss of power in a limb, loss of consciousness or severe bleeding dial 999.
For any injury that might need stitching, glue or involves a broken bone, the surgery provides a minor injury clinic between 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, please telephone 01283 511 387 or 01283 563561 for advice before attending.
Outside of these times, please call NHS 111 for assistance.
The receptionist will put you in touch with the doctor on call, who carries a mobile phone. Have your details ready and pen and paper at hand.
When the surgery is closed (between 6pm and 8am and all day weekends and Bank holidays) and you need medical help which is not an emergency, call NHS 111.
Calls to 111 are free from land lines and mobile telephones. Lines are open 24/7, every day of the year.
You can call 111 when you think you need to go to the Emergency Department at the hospital, or another Urgent Care Service, if you need advice outside surgery opening hours or you are not sure who to call for medical help.
Please only visit the Accident and Emergency Department (A&E) if it is an emergency.
